You
know you can make your
idea into a great business. But the wind gets taken
out of your sails when you realize that you don't know
exactly how to get all the pieces up and running. It
sounded so easy, and the book and DVD laid it
out step by step. Or...did they? When you
actually sit down to do it, suddenly you realize you may have
the steps, but no clue how to implement them.
Step 1 - Create a web presence.
Sounds easy enough. But is one web
site enough? Where do you go? What features do
you need? Who's going to design it? What software are
you going to use to make changes after having someone else
design it? Who's going to teach you how to use the
software? Or... you got a cheap site for a year.
How in the world do you find your way around to make
changes? What about flash and expensive add-ins?
Step 2 - Add features.
Need a shopping cart? SSL ? Feedback form?
Email cloaking? Blog? Link to your Ebay store?
Step 3 - Optimize your site.
What are metatags? What keywords are
best to use, and which ones to you want to avoid? How
many keywords are good?
Step 4 - Seed your site.
Ok, put them into the search engines...how
do you do that? And which ones? And what about
the thousands of directories out there...how do you get to
them...or do you even need to? Paid submission or free
submission?
Step 5 - Online Marketing.
Pay per click marketing? Which ones? Can
you set a daily budget? How will you track your
demographics? How will you attract traffic? Do
you need to focus more on traffic (branding) or sales?
Step 6 - Ebay and PayPal
Do you need these? Does it matter which one you do first?
What type of PayPal account do you need? What kind of Ebay account do
you need? What is the difference between
fixed price, auctions and store items? Do you need a store?
USPS or UPS? Should you ship
internationally?
What if people leave bad feedback?
What if they back out of a purchase?
What if you make a mistake....what if... what if...
ARRRGGGHHHH!!!
I could fill the rest of the
page with questions...but you need answers. You don't need
another program, and you don't need another seminar, you just
